After the corona years we didn’t feel like travelling very far, so we looked for a spot in the north of France. The Somme seemed attractive because you may cycle along the canalized river, but we didn’t want to run into the Great War. We found a very nice house near the Somme Bay in the village of Favières, where we stayed two weeks.
Na de wilde coronajaren hadden we geen zin in verre reizen, dus keken we naar het noorden van Frankrijk. De Somme stond al een tijd op ons verlanglijstje, maar dan niet het stuk vol oorlogskerkhoven. Het werd de baai van de Somme in een leuk huis in Favières, op fietsafstand van de baai en de Somme (het land is daar vlak, Yes).
